Sensory Integration

At The Hollies School, we continually strive to meet the wide ranging needs of our pupils. We have developed a Sensory Integration Room as part of an action research project that provides pupils with more complex abilities with the sensory input that they need in order to develop emotional regulation strategies.

We carry out inhouse referrals, sensory profile assessments and sensory intervention sessions that can be flexible short term or fixed over a longer term. The aim is to provide a sensory experience in a specialist environment designed to build pupils’ confidence in using equipment in ways that meet their sensory needs.
